The second edition of the CONSTRUCT EXPO UTILAJE exhibition was held between 9-13 April 2008 at the ROMEXPO Exhibition Centre- Bucharest International Fair.
The CONSTRUCT EXPO UTILAJE - International Exhibition for Construction Machinery hosted more than 300 exhibitors from 17 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey and Hungary. The exhibition area was of 45,000 m2, together with the halls No. 1, 23-25, 30 and the outside exhibition area.
 The second edition was visited by more than 6500 specialists.
The official opening ceremony was marked by the presence of Mr George Cojocaru, president and general director of the ROMEXPO S.A., of Ms Anna Horvath, under-secretary of the Ministry for Development, Public Works and Construction and of Mr Liviu Popa, president of the Association of the Construction Machine Distributors.
“Organized by the ROMEXPO for the second time as a distinct international exhibition, the CONSTRUCT EXPO UTILAJE attests the unprecedented growth, the accelerated and constant dinamics of the construction sector in our country” underlined president Cojocaru in his message to the participants.
Following him, the under-secretary Ms Horvath appreciated the great number of the exhibitors participating in the CONSTRUCT EXPO UTILAJE: “I would like to thank to all the Romanian and foreign firms that show interest to the Romanian construction market and I wish them 5 extraordinary, useful and efficient days here at the ROMEXPO.

After having visited the exhibition, Ms Anna Horvath, under-secretary of the Ministry for Development, Public Works and Construction noted into the guest book of the ROMEXPO: “I wish you successful activity in this dynamic, in fact in this most dynamic economic sector of Romania – in the construction sector, in particular the sector of construction machines – I congratulate you and wish you a good, efficient and dynamic economic year."

Liviu Popa, president of the Association of Construction Machine Distributors: “How was the exhibition? It was bigger and more advanced than last year. Next year we would like to increase the presence of our association at the exhibition."
