The number of visitors to this year’s CONSTRUMA was the highest ever, it was by 10% higher compared to last year. The top event of the building industry was visited by more than 55,000 people at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fairground. 743 exhibitiors from 22 countries introduced themselves at the 27. edition of the CONSTRUMA exhibition and many of them offered their products at considerably lower prices. The trade programs of the exhibition attracted a great number of visitors as well. The products offered and the trade programs were all centred around the subject of environment protective, climate-friendly construction methods and energy-saving.
 The exhibition offered a wide range of environment protective, energy saving products, of equipment that use renewed energy, of sun collectors, modern doors and windows and of prefabricated houses. A specialty of this year’s CONSTRUMA was the presentation of the ecological town, the Galgafarm. What is interesting in the ecological towns is that the houses are made of natural „old-new” materials, using fibrillar insulations, thatch, thraw, harl and adobe bricks respectively, and their energy supply is covered by sun collectors.
At she stand of the ÉMI Kht. the visitors were given information on the Panel and ÖKO programs which are assistance programs of the Hungarian state for the modernization of the blocks of flats, for the introduction of new, individual energy-consumption solutions in the district-heated flats, application possibilities for assistance.
 The National Association of the Home Decorators awaited its visitors at the Island of Tipps with free home-decoration and furnishing ideas and advice.
The tinners, roofers, and scrabblers held a spectacular show at this year’s exhibition as well.
Many visited the CONSTRUMA Novelty Prize winner exhibitors, the companies like the Grand-Ács Kft., the Kunság Fenster Kft., the Wieland - Werke AG and the Wienerberger Téglaipari Zrt. The extra ehibition of the CONSTRUMA, the FRONTÁL made a successful début, where the product group of doors and windows obtained a separate identity. The visitors could see the products of as many as 150 companies, among them many Hungarian market-leaders.
New extra exhibitions to start at next year’s CONSTRUMA
The organisers of the HUNGEXPO Zrt. have begun to prepare the next exhibition. The next CONSTRUMA will be more abundant in extra exhibitions and trade programmes. According to the plans by these extra exhibitions the roofers and tinners, and the manufacturers and dealers of insulations respectively will be granted more opportunity to present themselves. The exhibitions and their individual trade programmes will be mainly sponsored by the ÉMSZ, the Hungarian Federation of Roofing Contractors and will be organized in collaboration with the ÉKE, the National Association of the Construction Material Dealers and the ÉMI Kht., the Non-Profit Company for Quality Control and Innovation in Building.
In addition to the FRONTÁL, the PREFABRICATED HOUSE FAIR and the DECORSTONE two new shows will await the visitors to the CONSTRUMA between 1-5 April 2009. With the inauguration of the new G pavilion the HUNGAROTHERM, the prestigious exhibition for building engineering.
