The quad-like AVANT 200 series, that are designed mainly for maintenance works was introduced four years ago. Later on, the 600 series was introduced three years ago, which represented a higher category: it was greater in size, performance and weight. Based on these developments time has come also for the 500 series to be renewed. The new AVANT 520 and 528 completely differ from their predecessors. Only their names remained unchanged. The new ones are far better in design and performance than the old ones.
The characteristics of the new AVANT 500 series in comparison to its predecessor:
1. Lifting power
• The lifting power is 25% higher that that of the former machine of the series 500
• Integrated, 170 kg counterweight (basic equipment)
2. Lifting height
• With the extendible boom the loading height is 2790 mm from the bucket rotation point, that is 400 mm higher than
that of the 500 series.
3. Modern boom design
• Excentric boom construction=excellent view to the working equipments
• Higher efficiency, higher security level
• Remarkable ripping power at every bucket angle
• Hydraulically operated level control system (optional)
4. Increased bucket ripping power
• Owing to the bucket tilting mechanism the ripping power measured at the bucket teeth exceeds the power of the
predecessor by up to 90%.
5. Self-regulated parallel lifting
• The hydraulically operated level-control system is an optional function, and it can be ordered both to the standard and to the extendible, telescopic booms, to ease the handling of the heavy materials on pallets.
6. Engines
• The Avant 520 is driven by a 3-cylinder, 20 hp diesel Kubota D722 engine. The AVANT 528 is also equipped with a 3-cylinder Kubota engine, however, it is of the type D1105 and has 28 hp.
7. Excellent ergonomy of the operating space
• The operating space is very comfortable also for the tall and corpulent operators.
• Modern, highly equipped control panel, like that of the machines belonging to the 600 series.
• Excellent view to every direction.
• Smoked plexi-glass roof as basic equipment.
• Working lights as basic equipment.
8. ROPS
• 4-fold fastened ROPS as basic equipment.
• The lower ROPS comparing to that of the series 600 and the normally suspended operator seat lowers the machine’s height and broadens its scope of applications. The total height of the machine amounts to 1980 mm, owing to the lower ROPS and to the 23*10.50-12 tyres.
9. Cabin
• The cabin of the 600 series can be ordered to the machines of the 500 series.
10. Outer hydraulics
• The hydraulic volumetric current of the outer attachments corresponds to the machine’s proportions (31 l/min at the AVANT 520, and 36 l/min at the AVANT 528.
The first machines of the new AVANT 500 series arrived to he Hungarian importer of the AVANT TECNO, the Verbis
Kft., in January 2008.
