The activity in the demoarea on gravel, soil, mud and rock shows that this opportunity is greatly appreciated. Here visitors have a go themselves and exhibitors give working presentations of their machines, equipment and accessories.

In May 28 000 visitors took the opportunity to go to Stockholm to testdrive machines, negotiate deals, find new dealers, meet other professionals, watch demonstrations and select machines to improve their businesses. The exhibition, established in 1983, is arranged by the family-owned company MaskinExpo Sweden AB and since its move three years ago to a larger exhibition area, shows a steady, annual growth of impressive 20 percent.
- Our rapid expansion is the result of several factors. MaskinExpo has been elected "Swedish Trade Fair" by MaskinLeverantorerna, the Swedish trade association for suppliers of mobile machines. From a business point of view this was very important to us. International manufacturers are informed that Maskinexpo is "the" annual meeting point for this industry.

Business aside, it´s the unusually friendly atmosphere that makes MaskinExpo an event many professionals look forward to.
- For three days an empty airfield is magically transformed into a Mecca for machine lovers. 75 000 square metres of stand area filled with all new machines for building, construction, road maintenance, park and landscaping, mining and light commercial vehicles.

The stands vary in size and content. From 9 sqm to Swecon who in a 3 500 sqm stand exhibited news from Volvo, including the brand new hybride engine from ConExpo in Las Vegas. Other large manufacturers present were Hitachi, Hyundai and major local manufacturers like Engcon, Abelco and Indexator.
- Because of the large number of exhibitors many vistors spend two days at MaskinExpo. The beauty of Stockholm in May also inspires visitors to combine the exhibition with a weekend in the most beautiful capital in Scandinavia.
