Overseas remittance and dynamic labour force – optimistic signs for Vietnam’s construction and building sectors

After a successful 2007 launch, Con-Build Vietnam 2008 (9-12 September 2008, Hanoi) – 2nd International Trade Fair for Construction and Building - Machinery, Equipment, Materials, Vehicles, Technology & Services, is bringing you the best of the industry’s partnership and business prospects. Con-Build Vietnam 2008 is the essential international business platform in the country for bridging partnership and opportunities, as Vietnam’s construction and building industries continue to boom with projected growth rates of 10.6 – 11%.

Experts: Vietnam will overcome difficulties
Though volatility and uncertainty continued in global capital markets, two factors are likely to prevent a major correction in Vietnam. First of all, the inflow of foreign capital into Vietnam from he rest of the world due to the deposit interest rates is not a bad thing at all. David G. Fernandez, Chief Economist of JP Morgan Chase thinks that raising deposit interest rates is the best solution for inflation, as it would control the hot credit growth. Indonesia did that in 2005 and was successful with the move. He believes that the problem occurring in Vietnam will be settled by the end of 2008. Secondly, meanwhile, the government of Vietnam is trying to cut public investments, and once it does this the high inflation will be restrained, while the trade deficit will also decrease.

Con-Build Vietnam 2008, a definitive platform for business opportunities as Vietnam’s economic growth is glad to show you the demands on infrastructural development, modernization and rapid urbanization countrywide. Hisatsugu Furukawa, a monetary policy expert with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), says that Vietnam can obtain high economic growth thanks to increased savings, balanced international payments as a result of foreign direct investment, capital from the official development assistance (ODA) and overseas remittance. The state budget deficit proves to be within control. “While Vietnam has a young and dynamic labour force, I am optimistic about Vietnam’s economy,” he said, further adding that investors should have a long-term vision instead of just looking at the immediate time.

Investors: Will continue to invest in Vietnam

Greg Terry, President of Morgan Stanley South East Asia, in a recent interview with Thoi bao Kinh te Vietnam, said that Morgan Stanley was continuing to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam. Mr. Terry said that the global financial report which predicts that Vietnam would have the same crisis which occurred in Thailand in 1997 only shows the viewpoint of the analysts. He stated, “Reports like that do not definitively reflect the official viewpoint of the whole banking group.”

Reaping business potentials:
Con-Build Vietnam 2008 (9-12 September 2008, Hanoi) – 2nd International Trade Fair for Construction and Building - Machinery, Equipment, Materials, Vehicles, Technology & Services, is prudently envisaged for the growing markets of Vietnam, and at the same time, provides industry professionals with a unique opportunity to meet key industry makers involved in the design and build of major infrastructural projects in Vietnam.

Reaping business potentials: Con-Build Vietnam 2008 (9-12 September 2008, Hanoi) – 2nd International Trade Fair for Construction and Building - Machinery, Equipment, Materials, Vehicles, Technology & Services, is prudently envisaged for the growing markets of Vietnam, and at the same time, provides industry professionals with a unique opportunity to meet key industry makers involved in the design and build of major infrastructural projects in Vietnam.

Con-Build Vietnam 2008 aims to consolidate the vast business potential of the construction and building industry in Vietnam, as well as to lend focus to the leading trend in infrastructure development and expand strategic collaboration and partnership further across the region, by bringing together top experts and government officials, established industry leaders, new foreign manufacturers and suppliers, in one mega trade-show to share, sell and tell. To network and open up new grounds for business opportunities. Majority of the exhibitors from Con-Build Vietnam 2007 have already booked space for 2008 and new exhibitors are already joining the queue to make their intentions “concrete” to “build” broadening market potential and not missing out for they can foresee the potential of the Vietnamese market.
